The Kent & East
Sussex Railway is one of Britain's premier steam railways
and is the longest standard gauge heritage railway in
the South East.
The Kent & East
Sussex Railway operates steam and diesel trains through10.5
miles of delightful countryside between the attractive
town of
Tenterden
in Kent and Bodiam
in East Sussex. The terminus at Bodiam is only
a short walk from the National Trust's Bodiam
Castle.

Almost all the Drivers,
Firemen, Guards and Signalmen and most of the other
people who operate our railway are volunteers working
in their spare time. Without them the railway would
not be able to survive.
