Class 108 DMMU latest news
The Bodiam end car M50971 has had an external
clean and re-varnish. Subject to shed space, the second car M51571 will
also be given the same treatment during the year. We aim to complete
the refurbishment of the interior of car M50971 when conditions and
use allow.
To date the DMMU has been very reliable. Unfortunately one engine has
failed in service and diagnosis indicates that the cylinder head must
be replaced on that engine.
The scheduled winter B service has been completed. Also the faulty cylinder
head has been replaced and the unit is in service.
