HOW TO BECOME A VOLUNTEER

Why not join the team of dedicated volunteers?
The K&ESR always welcomes
new volunteer staff. You will need to be reasonably fit and have
good eyesight (glasses are acceptable) with normal colour vision if
you wish to work on the footplate or be a Guard or Signalman. For safety
critical tasks such as these you will need to undergo a medical.
There are a wide variety of jobs on offer from footplate work for the
more energetic to Guards and Signalmans posts that require less physical
effort. If you are cannot come to the railway or feel unable to
perform operating duties you could still help us with administration
or other work.
If you don’t fancy operating duties there are also interesting opportunities
in other departments, just fill in the appropriate information and we
will pass your information to the Manager concerned.
